The Division II Conference Commissioners Association announced its All-Region Teams on Tuesday.
Missouri was represented by five players from the MIAA on the Central Region teams – two men’s basketball players and three women’s basketball players.
Northwest Missouri’s Justin Pitts was named the All-Region Player of the Year. The senior from Blue Springs, Mo., averaged 18.9 points and 5.0 assists per game.
Pitts was joined on the First Team by Missouri Southern’s C.J. Carr averaged 18.4 points per contest and led the MIAA in assists and steals.
Central Missouri’s Paige Redmond was named the All-Region First Team. The junior was the MIAA Player of the Year and also the Central Region Tournament MVP, leading her team to the Elite Eight.
Southwest Baptist’s Megan Rosenbaum also earned a spot on the First Team. The senior from Graham, Mo., led the MIAA in points per game, free throw percentage and steals per game.
Lindenwood’s Kallie Bildner was listed on the All-Tegion Second Team. A sophomore from Waynesville, Mo., she led her team, averaging a double-double of 17.3 points and 11.4 rebounds per game and was fourth in the NCAA in double-doubles with 18.
