KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Postseason pairings for the Heart Women’s Soccer Conference Tournament, which is set to take place in the spring, have been announced. Eight teams will advance to the three-round, single-elimination tournament with the higher seed serving as the host of each contest.
Central Methodist claimed the regular season title for the second consecutive season and will serve as the No. 1 seed. The Eagles currently boast a 10-2 record in the league and lead the NAIA with 67 goals on the season. They will host No. 8-seeded Grand View (6-5-1).
Baker finished as the regular season runner-up and will enter postseason play at the No. 2 seed with a 9-2-1 conference record. They will host No. 7-seeded Evangel (7-5) for the quarterfinal round.
Missouri Valley secured the No. 3 seed with a 9-3 Heart record and is set to host No. 6-seeded Clarke (7-5). MidAmerica Nazarene is locked in at the No. 4 seed with a 7-2-2 finish in league play and will face No. 5-seeded Benedictine (7-3-1).
Tournament play is set to open with the quarterfinal round on April 3rd, followed by semifinal action on April 7th and championship play on April 10th. Opening Round competition for the 37th Annual NAIA Women’s Soccer National Championship is scheduled to begin on April 15th. Final site play will open on April 27th at the Ralph Schumacher Soccer Complex in Foley, Ala.
